It's one of the larger "Campo" of Venice, surrounded by buildings of considerable merit: Palazzo Pisani (of the second half of the sixteenth century) rich in porches and staircases, current site of the Conservatory "Benedetto Marcello"; Palazzo Loredan, Gothic building; Palazzo Morosini, in the past house of the great dogale family. Delimits the "Campo" (which has centered on the marble statue of Niccolò Tommaseo scholar-Patriot) the 14th-century Church of s. Stefano, with a Bell Tower of the Renaissance, which is tilted. On the other side, the Church of s. Vidal, founded at the end of the 11th century. and rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries; on the other side of the "Campo", the Palazzo Franchetti, one of the most interesting buildings of the fifteenth century, reminiscent in the Loggia of the Palazzo Ducale and is surrounded by a beautiful garden.
