Starts April 8 with an exceptional exhibition of masterpieces from the Veneto belonged to Vittorio Cini Palazzo Cini 2016 season at San Vio.

The Cini Foundation pays tribute to the great patron presenting, for the first time gathered, Venetian paintings from his collection.


Opens the new season with a tribute to Vittorio Cini of Palazzo Cini at San Vio, House-Museum, once the home of the great patron of the arts, which houses the collections of paintings from Tuscany and fares already in his personal collection.


From 8 April to September 5, 2016 second-story spaces will see together the most important Venetian paintings from his vast collection, including masterpieces by Titian, Lotto, Guardi, Canaletto and Tiepolo, works that are now on public display for the first time together.


The exhibition created for the occasion by the Institute of art history of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, directed by Luca Massimo Barbero, returns, through a thirty masterpieces selected, the quality of one of the most important collections of ancient art of the last century and allows us to better understand the shape and taste of Cini, who, with the help of advisers such as Bernard Berenson , Federico Zeri and Joseph Fiocco, secured the most representative names of the Venetian school, from the 14th to the 18th century.
