From Friday to Sunday, the Doge's Palace and Museo Correr stay open until 11pm.

After the excellent results obtained with the extraordinary opening of the 1 St of may of the city's museums, strongly backed by the Mayor of Venice Luigi Bankar, which was attended by ben 10,235 total viewers and in the Correr and 7813 Ducal people at 18 a.m. 23 399, the Fondazione Musei civici di Venezia decided to continue the experience.

Hence, in the framework of the initiatives aimed at creating new opportunities to visit the heritage and collections of Venice, we have agreed to start a late opening in museums of Marciana Area-the Doge's Palace and Museo Correr- the summer starting next May 20.

This programme provides for the extension of opening hours until 23.00 hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Main purpose of the initiative is to offer the citizens of Venice, in the metropolitan area and all tourists a broader programming, encouraging young people and that audience that normally cannot visit the museums in ordinary opening hours, to discover the artistic and cultural heritage in an exceptional setting.
