Built on the Giudecca island in gratitude for the narrow escape from the plague of 1576, is a masterpiece of Palladian religious architecture. The facade is classic style with triangular pediment supported by columns. The great dome of the apse is flanked by "campaniletti" at the cusp. Inside, paintings by Veronese, Tintoretto, Palma il Giovane.
